Glenna Luschei Prize

Are you an African poet? The African Poetry Book Fund, in collaboration with Prairie Schooner, a literary journal, presents the $1,000 Glenna Luschei Prize for African Poetry each year. The term “African writer” refers to someone who was born in Africa, holds citizenship or residency in an African nation, or has African ancestry as parents. A standard edition has forty-eight pages or more. Submissions of poetry must be in English only; however, translated pieces that have been published are also welcome. Books that are self-published or that are part of the African Poetry Series published by the APBF are not eligible.

Deadline: 1st October 2024
