African Womens Non-fiction Writing Workshop
Calling all African women non-fiction writers! We’re thrilled to announce our upcoming 10-day residential writing workshop for African women based on the continent and interested in non-fiction writing. Led by an experienced Black woman author (soon to be announced), this workshop aims to equip participants with the skills to refine their voice and develop their craft. The workshop will culminate in a final essay published in the anthology, ‘TABOO’ by Cassava Republic Press. Scheduled for July 2024 in Johannesburg, South Africa, the workshop covers travel within the continent, accommodation, and meals for all participants. In line with our Global Black Women’s Non-Fiction Prize, this initiative is part of our mission to nurture and encourage more Black women to create critical, thoughtful, and inspiring non-fiction works.
