The Association of African Podcasters and Voice Artists (APVA) is delighted to announce its partnership with Radiomind Africa on an exciting initiative designed to inspire and equip the next generation of broadcasters and podcasters: the School Radio and Podcast Pop-Up Studios project. This groundbreaking program brings the thrill and magic of radio directly to schools, transforming students into radio heroes in just one day.
The School Radio and Podcast Pop-Up Studios project is an immersive, hands-on experience that sets up a professional Radio/Podcast studio in schools for a one-day master class. Students receive expert training, engage in live broadcasting, and create their own podcasts, all while gaining essential skills for the future. Commenting on the initiative, [Bidemi Adedire], founder of APVA, stated,

Key Objectives Of The PopUp Podcast/Radio Studios Initiative
1. Educate and Inspire:
- Introduce students to the fundamentals of radio broadcasting and podcasting.
- Inspire creativity and passion for storytelling through audio media.
2. Hands-On Learning:
- Provide practical training on broadcasting equipment, audio editing, and content creation.
- Allow students to experience the excitement of live broadcasting and podcast production.
3. Empower and Build Confidence:
- Enhance public speaking, communication, and technical skills.
- Foster teamwork, creativity, and self-expression.
- Build confidence by giving students a platform to share their voices.
Through this partnership, APVA and Radiomind Africa aim to dive into the future of radio, harnessing the power of podcasting to leave students with invaluable skills that will last a lifetime. Together, they are committed to promoting diversity, innovation, and excellence within the African podcasting landscape.
