The African Podcast and Voice Academy Welcomes Muzhinga Kankinda as an Instructor

The Association of African Podcasters and Voice Artists (APVA) proudly announces the official soft launch of the African Podcast and Voice Academy, with a distinguished lineup of instructors drawn from across Africa’s vibrant audio landscape.

Among the academy’s inaugural instructors is Muzhinga Kankinda, a Zambian multimedia creative, writer, and communications professional with a BA in Journalism and Communication. Passionate about storytelling, she has written for international platforms including TRT Afrika, The Podcast Host Ltd, AfricaWorld News International, Afripods, The Podcast Sessions, and APVA, as well as scriptwriting for the climate-focused film Sentinel of Hope.

Muzhinga is the brainchild of 100Mirrors Multimedia, a blog, podcast, and magazine platform exploring media, leadership, innovation, and sustainability in Africa and Zambia. She is also Co-founder and Executive Director of Acastar Consultancy, where she develops communications strategies, business writing, and training solutions. Beyond her professional ventures, Muzhinga serves as the APVA Country Representative in Zambia, coordinating events in Zambia.

At the APVA Academy, Muzhinga will share her expertise in content creation, storytelling, and communications, guiding learners to refine their writing and media skills while applying them to impactful audio projects. With her background spanning journalism, digital communication, and creative writing, participants will benefit from her unique perspective on building authentic narratives that resonate locally and globally.

“APVA Academy exists to turn creative talent into sustainable livelihoods, strengthen Africa’s audio sector with structured pathways, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with existing schools, agencies, and academies. We’re not here to replace what’s working – we’re here to amplify trusted traditions while co-creating new histories for African audio.” –Bidemi Adedire, Founder, Association of African Podcasters & Voice Artists (APVA)

“I am incredibly honoured and excited to partner with APVA and contribute to the growth of African podcasting. The APVA Academy is a vital platform, and I look forward to sharing my knowledge and helping the next generation of African audio creators turn their passion into a thriving career.” – Muzhinga Kankinda

Enrollment for APVA Academy is now open. Interested learners can register at academy.apva.africa and join Africa’s fastest-growing community of audio professionals.
