Australian Book Review is thrilled to announce that the 2026 Peter Porter Poetry Prize is now open for entries.
Honoring the life and work of the great Australian poet Peter Porter, the prize is one of Australia’s most respected poetry awards, offering a first prize of AU$6,000.
The judging panel for this year’s prize includes Judith Bishop, Felicity Plunkett, and Anders Villani, with the shortlisted poems set to be published in the January-February 2026 issue.
